Steve had purchased a home in Brown Deer and was looking for a craftsman to help him with his vision for a modern-industrial cave space for his basement.

Steve works hard, so he certainly enjoys having a fun space to play table tennis and host friends and family for drinks. When Steve approached us with his project, he wanted to finish his walls with a currogated metal look framed by beautiful woodwork.

He also wanted electrical updates and a barn style door.

Some of the challenges included some unusual angles for the tapered floors, and using a level to make the space look level was not an option. It required a craftsman’s eye to make Steve’s vision a reality.

After preparing the space and updating the electrical, we went straight to work on the different pieces of sheet metal.

Some custom work with birchwood made beautiful frames for the metalwork.

Some final touches included finishing the wall on the way down to the basement with a studded sheet metal wall, and adding some vinyl baseboard and a barn door.
